
12/17/2025 (TNJ) - Lewisville ISD has responded to video that appears to show a member of the 2024 FM Marcus football team punch another player in the back of the head during a scrimmage.
The district says the situation was handled internally.
From LISD: "We can confirm the video you shared was taken at a Marcus High School football practice in Oct. 2024. Federal law prevents me from sharing individual student consequences or disciplinary actions related to the incident. I can share that the parents of both students involved in the incident were included in discussions with staff regarding the situation, and no further concerns related to action taken or how the situation was addressed were shared from either set of parents involved."

Oak Lawn UMC caught attention earlier this year when it painted its steps in rainbow colors following a state directive to remove rainbow crosswalks.

According to NWS Fort Worth, a cold front moving in on Thursday will bring Thursday night temperatures back down to near-normal levels. Expect Friday morning lows in the 30s across the entire area.
Another warming is expected to take place this weekend, with high temperatures climbing into the 70s across most of the region by Saturday.
